Physical exercise: 8/10
Feel the freedom, hop on a quad or a buggy and visit the middle of the island for a half-day excursion where you can get to know the local people’s life, abandoned beaches and swim in an Indian cave.
Once we arrived to the farm, the aptitude test starts to handle safely the vehicle. After a small aptitude test we start exploring the beaches of Uvero Alto, and after a 30-minute journey we reach the deeper parts of the province where we first travel through the famous Dominican rice fields. We get to the first major city called Nissibon where we can get to know the local traditions and gain insight into the everyday Caribbean life. By leaving the city, on the hills we can see the cocoa and coffee plantations, as well as the different tropical fruits. We also have the opportunity to visit a typical local little wooden house where we can see how Dominicans live their everyday lives. We take our way to the beach again, enjoying a beautiful landscape at a tropical river estuary. We’re going back and getting to know the farm world for the rest of the time.
